Lady Whippets Finish Third At 2011 SWC Meet

The 2011 Southwest Conference golf meet was held at the Ainsworth Golf Course on Thursday. Valentine won the meet shooting a 399 for the day. Ogallala was second with a 404 followed by Minden with a 425.
Minden’s Elizabeth Grams claimed the silver medal by carding a 93 for the tournament. Grams earned first team All-SWC honors with a front nine 48 coupled with a back nine 45.
Ashton Boldt shot rounds of 51 and 54 and finished in eighth place. Boldt earned second team All-SWC honors. Allie Geist put together rounds of 56 and 53 to finish with a 109 and the 12th place overall medal. Geist became a member of the all-conference honorable mention team with her efforts. Other Whippet scores included Jessica Rehtus with a 118, Amy Nielsen with a 129 and Mariah Koch with a 139.
