Lady Whippets Get Win, 70-31

The Minden Whippets girls basketball team ran its record to 9-1 on the season with a victory over the Ainsworth Bulldogs on Friday in C.L. Jones Gymnasium.
The Whippets earned a 39 point win, 70-31, over the Bulldogs in the battle of Southwest Conference foes.
Minden placed three players in double figures with a team-high 22 points including three three-pointers coming from Jamie Kissinger. Hallie Bauer chipped in with 19 point hitting eight field goals while Brooke Kissinger added 14 points with six field goals including two trays.
Minden left little doubt after the opening tap who was going to control this contest. The Whippets rolled to a 26-6 lead after one period of play. Jamie Kissinger led the way with ten points followed by Brooke Kissinger with nine and Bauer with five.
In the second stanza, Minden would increase its lead to 27 points by outscoring Ainsworth 15-6 in the quarter. Bauer guided the way for the team with eight points while Jamie Kissinger added a three-pointer and Brooke Kissinger and Bailey Petersen each added buckets.
Minden led Ainsworth 41-14 at halftime.
