Lady Whippets Pull Away From Lexington, Win 53-37

The Minden Whippets girls basketball team hosted its second straight home contest in C.L. Jones Gymnasium on Dec. 4 and welcomed in an old foe, the Lexington Minutemaids, to town.
The Lady Whippets trailed at the end of the first and second quarters before rallying in the second half to remain undefeated on the season, 3-0, with 16 point victory, 53-37. The Class B Lexington squad suffered its first loss of the season and falls to 2-1 on the year.
Minden placed three players in double figures led by junior Jamie Kissinger and freshman Rebecca Stewart with 18 points each. Fellow junior Brooke Kissinger added 15 with Shae Taylor scoring the only other two Whippet points.
