Larsen sisters Emily, 15, and Kimberly, 10, are members of the KC Kids 4H Club. Emily is the club president and Kimberly recently moved up from being a Clover Kid. The girls enjoy the activities and opportunities available through 4H as well as entering their projects into the Kearney County Fair for competition.
“When I joined, I thought it would be fun to join 4H for all of the activities. What I enjoy most is sewing and the fair,” Emily said.
“I joined because I like making crafts and sewing and cooking,” Kimberly said.
Both girls compete in sewing and cooking events at the County Fair. They also take part in the annual 4H Fashion Show and Talent Show. Preparing for the fair has become a routine during their summer vacation.
“We have to sew, practice baking, and practice for the talent show,” Kimberly said.
