Last Second Tip In By Holdrege Edges Whippets At Home 40-39

The Minden Whippets boys basketball team can’t seem to catch a break. The Whippets hosted their arch rival, Holdrege Dusters, on Friday night at C.L. Jones Gymnasium in their annual regular season showdown.
Minden lost to the Dusters on a last second put back basket as time expired to drop a 40-39 contest. The Whippets fall to 5 wins and 11 losses heading into the Southwest Conference tournament.
The Dawgs placed two players in double figures led by Jonathan Miller with 11 points followed by Santiago Ortega with 10 and Justin Villars added nine. Villars added seven rebounds while DeLaet pulled down six. Miller had four assists while Elijah Lovin had three.
