The Minden Whippets boys basketball team was put to the test on Saturday at home in C.L. Jones Gymnasium by the visiting Class B Aurora Huskies.
The Class C-1 top-ranked Whippets were challenged throughout by the Huskies before eventually pulling out a hard-fought 52-47 decision.
Minden (3-0) had to face adversity during the game, having to rely on the bench to get the victory. Carson Blum was saddled with foul trouble for most of the game, having three fouls in the first half and didn’t play much and was whistled for his fourth foul to start the third period and did not play until the fourth.
