Lavicky & Hawkins Heading to State for Wildcats

The Axtell wrestling team was in district action on Feb.10/11 when the Wildcats traveled to Southern Valley High School. Axtell finished tenth place out of 23 schools with an overall score of 63.5.

Taaron Lavicky (160) has dominated the entire year and his hard work was re- warded with a district championship along with a state tournament berth. Ashton Hawkins (220) placed second at districts and earned a state tournament berth.

The state tournament will be hosted at Omaha at the CHI Health Center on Feb.16-
