Lovin Throws No Hitter In Juniors 10-0 Win Over Lawrence

The AgVenture Junior Legion baseball team opened its 2012 summer season on May 22 with a convincing 10-0 victory over Lawrence on its home field.
Jonas Lovin picked up the win for the Juniors including pitching all seven innings of his first career no-hitter which included striking out an impressive 21 batters. Lovin faced 27 batters walking only two and four reached on errors.
The AgVenture bats put the Juniors ahead 2-0 after the first inning when Quin Rutt reached first then stole second and third before Lovin drove him in for the first run of the contest. Mitchell Muller was up next and he drove in Lovin, who had moved to third on stolen bases. AgVenture went ahead 2-0 going into the second.
The AgVenture bats would be silenced until the top of the sixth when they exploded for five more runs. Jonas continued to mow down the Lawrence batters and held them at bay until the Juniors could widen their lead.
