Following the resignation of Jeff England as the Kearney County Emergency Manager in October, the County began its search for a replacement. Craig Lupkes was appointed to fill the vacancy in December.
“They really didn’t have anyone to fill the spot so I stepped up,” Lupkes explained.
With 18 years experience on the Minden Volunteer Fire Department, Lupkes is well versed in handling emergency situations. He is relying on that experience to aid him as he works toward becoming certified for his new position in the County.
