Matt Cederburg is New Minden Clerk/Treasurer
Matt Cederburg grew up on a farm several miles from Minden. His family went to church in Axtell, but Cederburg attended Minden Public Schools from second grade through his high school graduation. He went on to the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, where he studied business administration and earned a Bachelor’s Degree, with an emphasis in accounting.
After earning his title as a Certified Public Accountant, he started work auditing credit unions, at Peterson and Associates. That was followed by experience with internal auditing at Jefferson Pilot Financial, and forecast management at TD Ameritrade. Most recently, he worked as the Chief Financial Officer for Pinpoint Holding Incorporated.
Soon after starting at Pinpoint, Cederburg and his wife, Tracey had their first children, twins Samuel and Sophia. At that point, the Cederburgs started looking for a business to buy, and were close to deals with an apple orchard, as well as TCBY.
It was during his job hunt that Alec Geist, who was president and CEO of Pinpoint when Cederburg was there, had a conversation with Mayor Roger Jones about the clerk and treasurer position open in Minden. Cederburg eventually was hired and began moving his family from their home in Omaha to Minden.
