Maxine attended West Pointe Country School District 41 for 1st and 2nd grades and Snow Flake Country School District 12 for 3rd through 8th grades. She graduated from Minden High School with the Class of 1950, and worked for a medical office and at the telephone company before getting married.
On August 5, 1954, Maxine married Edwin Christensen at her parents’ home southeast of Norman.
