The Minden Public Schools Board of Education had a short meeting February 11 in the high school media center. The board got straight to business with consideration of the consent agenda.
The consent agenda included minutes from the January 14 & 28 meetings, financial reports, expenditures and claims, and 2019 Board Committees. Superintendent James Widdifield pointed out that the big line items in the expenditures are related to the bus and small vehicle purchases approved during the January 14 meeting. He thanked the board once again for approval of the purchase. He said they have been a huge help already and will become more important as Spring activities begin.
Board Committee appointments were changed slightly from last year to spread out the workload and offer board members a chance to try new committees. The consent agenda was approved by the board.
