MHS Students Are Role Models For East

After learning about five dedicated people and the awesome feats they’ve accomplished, East Elementary students finally met the superstars face-to-face during a pup rally April 12. The experience was part of a program newly implemented at Minden Public Schools to showcase the importance of character education lessons.
“It goes to show the lessons we teach aren’t just grade school education; they are life lessons. This applies it to the real world for them and shows where those qualities can take you,” East Elementary guidance counselor Annie Stott explained.
The role models are students at Minden High School. Posters of Collin Choquette, Tysen McDowell,  Marshall Chaseck, Sydney Wilson, and Aidan Wheelock displaying determination, grit, perseverance, leadership, and goals through their high school activities were revealed during the pup rally as the mentors were introduced to the young audience.
