Minden, Axtell Wilcox-Hildreth Golf At Amherst Invite

The Minden Whippets, Axtell Wildcats and Wilcox-Hildreth Falcons golf teams were represented on March 29 at the Amherst Invitational played at Prairie Hills Golf Course.
Minden led the area in the team standings, placing fifth. The Whippets had a team total of 398 followed by Wilcox-Hildreth in sixth place with a 423 followed by Axtell in eighth position with a 448.
“I thought the guys did really well for the first meet of the year,” stated Minden head coach Eric Christensen. “They all showed they have the potential. Consistency is something we are working on. They all had three or four holes that caused them problems. Matt Exstrom placed 15th with a 97. Overall I am proud of these guys.”
Joining Exstrom on the medal stand was John Schnoor of W-H finishing 13th overall with a score of 96.
