Minden Bandfest Results

The 2012 Minden Chamber of Commerce Bandfest had an outstanding day for both the parade and field competition on Saturday in Minden.
The parade results are as follows:
Junior High
Superior — Minden Jr. High.
Excellent — Blue Hill Jr. High;  Twin River Jr. High; Bertrand Jr. High; Yutan Jr. High; and Holdrege Jr. High.
Good — Franklin Jr. High.
Class D
Superior — Amherst; Alma; Wilcox-Hildreth;  and Axtell.
Excellent — Overton;  Elm Creek; Loup City; Pleasanton; Eustis-Farnam; Friend and Kenesaw.
Class C
Superior — Grand Island Central Catholic; Sandy Creek; Douglas County West; St Paul; and Kearney Catholic.
Excellent — Hastings St Cecilia; Gibbon; Franklin and Doniphan-Trumbull.
Class B
Superior — Adams Central; Broken Bow; and Minden.
Excellent — Raymond Central; Holdrege and Gothenburg.
Class A
Superior — McCook
(S) Superior: 80 points or higher; (E) Excellent: 60-79; and (G) Good: 40-59.
The following are the results from the Field Competition:
Superior — Hershey and Adams Central.
Excellent — Kearney Catholic; Holdrege; Broken Bow; and Minden.
Good — Loup City and Hastings St Cecilia.
Scoring criteria were Music 40 points; Marching 30 points; and General Effect 30 points.
Judges for the event were Duane Johnson, Hastings; Neil Schnoor, Kearney; and Dave Klein, Kearney.
