Minden Boys Let 20 Point Lead Slip Away, Fall 59-53 To Dusters

The Minden Whippets boys basketball team has a bad taste left in their mouths following Friday’s second half against the Holdrege Dusters.

Minden went into the Dusterdome and looked to have things in control midway through the third period when the momentum switched to Holdrege and there was no stopping it.

The Dusters used a 32-8 run to end the game to pull off the 59-53 come-from-behind win over Minden. Minden is now 6 and 9 heading into the Southwest Conference tournament.

RJ Watson had a solid game for the Whippets finishing with a team-high 24 points and four rebounds. Isaac Carlson added nine points while Jonas Lovin had seven.
