Minden Boys Route Ainsworth To Win SWC Title

The 2011 Southwest Conference boys tournament championship belongs to the Minden Whippets.
The Minden Whippets finished off another SWC tourney title on Saturday at North Platte by defeating the Ainsworth Bulldogs for the championship, 86-47. This marks the Whippets second straight SWC crown.
The Dawgs placed four players in double figures led by Ben Petersen with 22 points, six blocks and six rebounds followed by Carson Blum with 20 points and a season-best 10 assists. Derek Kissinger added 18 points and four assists while Craig Driver had 10 points. Miles Steen added seven rebounds and four points while Dan Kristensen had four assists.
