Minden City Council Approves Blight Study
The Minden City Council had a heavy agenda of items to get through and they accomplished the task in just under two hours on May 16 with full council attendance.
The first item the council tackled was the 2010 Blight Study for the City of Minden. Councilman Lathan Thompson had questions on the map and wanted to be assured the map had been fixed to show the appropriate area that was left out of the initial map. Mayor Roger Jones told Thompson the map problem had been taken care of.
Councilman Ted Griess asked for an opinion from City Attorney Tom Lieske about the Blight Study. Lieske said everything looked to be in order. Thompson added to the conversation after Griess made the motion and Councilman Mike Kleen seconded, that if questions arise the map could be amended. With that question answered, the council voted unanimously to approve the 2010 Blight Study.
