Roald Dahl’s ‘James and the Giant Peach’ is now a musical for the whole family to enjoy. Featuring a wickedly tuneful score by the Tony Award nominated team of Pasek and Paul (Dear Evan Hansen and The Greatest Showman) and a curiously quirky book by Timothy Allen McDonald, critics rave, “James and the Giant Peach is a masterpeach!” This magical adventure will be presented by the Minden Community Players at the Minden Opera House October 11-27.
Following his parents’ death, James Henry Trotter (Isaiah Sinachak) is sent to live with his greedy and narcissistic aunts, Spiker (Erica Morey) and Sponge (Kelle Hunt). When the abusive pair send James to cut down an old fruit tree, he discovers a magical potion that leads to an enormous peach, an international journey, and an oversize adventure with the magically altered Mr. Grasshopper (Asa Souksanh), Mrs. Ladybug (Pam Wistrand), Earthworm (Carrin Gramke), Spider (Keya Knaus), and Centipede (Tim Kingsley).
