On March 13, a massive cast and crew will bring the story of a beloved storyteller and his timeless tales to life on the stage of the Minden Opera House as the Minden Community Players present ‘Hans Christian Andersen’ for the first of nine shows.
His fairytales are well known throughout the world, but the story of Hans Christian Andersen began before he ever put pen to paper.
In the stage adaptation of the book by John Fearnley, Beverly Cross, and Tommy Steele with music and lyrics by Frank Loesser, Hans Christian Andersen is a struggling cobbler better at making stories than shoes. As he navigates the path to becoming a storyteller and writer, he is helped by the people who love him.
