A discussion about the Minden Chamber of Commerce’s fireworks show in 2015 sparked some dissension between Minden City of Council members during their regular meeting on November 17th. On the agenda was a request from the Minden Chamber of Commerce asking the city to cost share 50% with the chamber for the fireworks planned for Independence Day 2015.
Minden Chamber of Commerce President Kevin Krull was present at the meeting to discuss the plans to bring the fireworks show back to Minden and also an interest in creating a county-wide Independence Day celebration in the future. Krull told the council that the chamber wanted to hire Premier Pyrotechnics at a cost of $10,000 to do the fireworks display.
