Minden Courier 2021 Year In Review Part 1 of 4

As a new year begins, The Minden Courier invites you to take one last look at the people, events, and news that filled 2021 in a four part series.

January

The Minden City Council approved a resolution to encourage citizens to wear masks to help slow the spread of COVID-19. The resolution was slated to expire when the CDC announced the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic is over.

Rosebowl Theater used the closure due to COVID-19 to replace theater seats. Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts from Troop 186, leaders, parents, and theater board members removed cushions from the theater seats while the Franklin High School Junior Class and National Honor Society members removed the remaining seat frames. New seats were expected to arrive sometime in February.

Bethany Home staff and residents began receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. Walgreens Pharmacy provided and administered the vaccinations during three different clinics at Bethany Home.
