The Minden FFA Chapter is continuing their agriculture education into the summer while providing a selection of fresh grown vegetables at their produce stand.
Minden Agriculture Education instructor and FFA advisor Macie Wippel and her students planted a garden earlier this summer north of C.L. Jones Middle School and a sweet corn patch east of town. The experience is providing students with a practical application and hands-on opportunity to learn more about where food comes from and what it takes to grow your own.
The garden and sweet corn plots are producing an abundance of vegetables and the Minden FFA is ready to share their bounty with others. FFA member Nick Bridges and his parents, Dan and Rachel Bridges, built a produce stand to make the harvest available to the public.
