Minden Girls Blow Past Cozad, 62-29

The Minden Whippets girls basketball team picked up a Southwest Conference road victory on Thursday over the Cozad Haymakers.
Minden improved its record to 16-2 following a 62-29 victory.
The Lady Whippets were led by three players in double figures led by Brooke Kissinger’s 21 points including two three-pointers. Jamie Kissinger added 20 points on seven field goals and was 6 of 8 from the foul line. Hallie Bauer also reached double figures with 13 points, making six shots from the field.
Minden bolted to an 11 point lead after the first period outscoring the Haymakers 17-6. Bauer and Jamie Kissinger led the Whippets in the quarter with six points each while Brooke Kissinger tallied five.
