Minden Girls Get Win Over Eagles

The Minden Lady Whippet basketball team took to the road on Thursday to face the Wood River Eagles in its regular season finale.

Wood River challenged Minden a bit in the first half before the Lady Whippets pulled away for the convincing 58-39 victory.

The C-1 fourth-rated Minden team heads into the Class C1-9 subdistrict at Grand Island Northwest on Tuesday with a record of 18-3 and will be the top seed in the district.

Minden was led by Brooke Kissinger with a team-high 24 points followed by Jamie Kissinger with 23 points
