Minden Girls Remain Perfect With Victory Over Centura

The Minden Lady Whippets put their undefeated record on the line Thursday when they hosted the state-rated Centura Centurions in C.L. Jones Gymnasium.
Minden entered the contest with a perfect 12-0 record while Centura came in with a record of 7-2. The Whippets got the best of Centura picking up a key 57-39 victory.
“This was a great defensive effort,” said Minden head coach Rick Chramosta. “The girls played hard and did a great job against a quality team. Unselfish play on the offensive end and being able to adjust to what Centura was doing, was big.”
Minden (12-0) was led by Jamie Kissinger with 21 points including 11 points in the third period. Hallie Bauer added 20 points including 14 in the second half.
Minden got off to a fast start in the first period led by Brooke Kissinger with five quick points along with Bailie Muller adding five and Jamie Kissinger four as Minden rolled to a 14-3 lead.
