Minden Girls Suffer First Loss Of Season To Boone Central

The Minden Lady Whippets basketball team had its undefeated season upended on December 19 when they traveled to Albion to take on the Boone Central Cardinals.
The Lady Whippets entered the contest ranked in the top three in both the Lincoln Journal Star and Omaha World Herald in Class C-1.
Minden was sporting an undefeated 6-0 mark as they entered the contest with the unbeaten Cardinals.
Boone Central hit nine three-pointers that propelled them to the upset victory over Minden 69-50.
Minden falls to 6-1 going into the Minden Holiday tournament on Dec. 29-30 facing the Adams Central Patriots in the opening round at 4:30 p.m.
The Whippets were led in the loss by Brooke Kissinger with a team-high 19 points. Jamie Kissinger added 16 points while Hallie Bauer chipped in 13. Alaina Boudreau had the only other two points in the contest for Minden.
