The ladies team earned their way to state next Friday after a two year absence and also claimed their first district championship since the 1999 team. The boys team attained their right to compete at state for the first time since 2007 by claiming the district runner-up plaque.
Senior and veteran state performer Sydney Phillips was third individually in the meet at 16:25. Freshman Emma Jons took home the seventh place medal clocking 16:56. Sophomore Samantha Hoskins ran 17:00 to earn the ninth place medal. Senior Jessica Dolan, also with state experience, ran 17:34 for 20th place while junior Jennifer Sorensen was 48th at 23:08.
