Minden High School Puts On One-Act Plays

Minden High School’s drama department will be presenting four one-act plays Monday and Tuesday November 14 (for certain) and 15 (depending on football playoffs) at 7:00 on the high school stage.
The presentation of the plays will also include luscious desserts at intermission.  Approximately 55 students are involved in this year’s productions.
The evening will begin with a performance of “The Flipside.”  When a high school romance between Roger (Nate Hunzeker) and Sandy (Amanda Papez) is rekindled through Facebook, a few surprises (like moving to Iowa) create unexpected situations for Becca (Shae Taylor), Sandy’s daughter.
If you have ever believed that PE teachers were put on this earth to torment their students, then “How I Learned to Stop Being Afraid of My Gym Teacher” is sure to affirm your beliefs.  Mr. Breakwater (Collin Jensen) wants to toughen up Will (Nic Brandt) through a nice little game of volleyball.  As Will’s parents (Carlie Bauer and Zack Rehtus) try to help Will through the trials of gym class, a few secrets are revealed.
