Minden Loses Close Contest To St. Paul

The Minden Whippet softball team had one of its rare home contests on Thursday at Augie Nelson Field hosting the Blue Hill Bobcats and St. Paul Wildcats. Minden would lose both contests to fall to 2-13 on the season.
The Whippets and Bobcats began play with Blue Hill earning a 17-4 win over Minden in three innings.
Blue Hill was able to get off to a six-run first off Dawg starter Sam Hoskins who took the loss. In the bottom of the first, Minden was able to strike back with three runs to close the score to 6-3 heading into the second.
