University of Nebraska at Kearney Athletics Director Dr. Paul Plinske announced today that Minden native Josh Jorgensen is the Lopers’ new Senior Associate Athletic Director.
A Nebraska Wesleyan graduate, Jorgensen will assist Plinske in day-to-day operations of UNK Athletics, help bolster the department’s revenue through corporate partnerships, ticketing and special events, serve as director of the annual Blue-Gold golf outing, provide strategic guidance and oversight for external communication, oversee all home event management including postseason championships, help broaden the Loper Athletic brand and lead in capital planning for the department.
In recent months, Rich Brodersen (Senior Assoc. A.D. for Internal Affairs) and Hilke Brandon (Asst. A.D. for External Relations) moved onto other roles. The positions have since been consolidated with former Loper baseball player Mannie Reinsch now serving as Facility and Event Manager, taking over some of Brodersen’s duties.
