Minden One-Act Play Is November 12-13

The Minden High School One-Act Play Production will be having two performances on Monday and Tuesday, November 12 and 13 at 7 p.m. in the high school gymnasium.
More than 50 students will be performing three plays this year and have been working since August to create three memorable shows. They have attended many rehearsals, have created their own costumes and props, handled all staging and lighting and have dedicated their time and talents to help continue the great tradition of the fine arts in Minden.
The three plays are: Action News: Now With 10% More Action (A spoof on our nightly newscasts. Follow along as our anchors try to hold together a half hour show with angry dogs, terrible technology, zombies and a weather man who thinks meteorology has something to do with meteors.)
The Liberated Cinderella (Yet another Cinderella story with a twist. This time, we meet a Fairy Godfather who has to deal with characters from other famous fairy tales…The Wolf from Little Red Riding Hood and Rumplestiltskin himself. Cinderella finds love, but not in the traditional way. Enjoy this popular fairy tale from a completely different perspective!)
Cluedo: The Play (Bringing the game of Clue to life! This interpretation of the mystery board game takes you through an evening with a colorful group of characters. Welcome to Mr. Black’s mansion, where deceit, greed and lust are all on the menu. Follow along with Inspector Brown and his sidekick Periwinkle as they uncover the frightening truth just a little too late.)
Come enjoy a night of fine theater and fine desserts. We will perform the first two plays followed by a short intermission in which our characters will serve you some delicious desserts. We will then end with a performance of the district play.
