Minden Police Advise To Be Aware Of Fraudulent Calls

The Minden Police Department is informing the public that there is a scam running right now in the area. Police Chief Jim Huff told The Courier that someone has already been taken advantage of so be careful.
The scam involved a telephone call telling you that a relative is in jail and needs an amount money wired to him/her to get out. Huff wants the public to check with family members before wiring money as its better to double check that someone is actually in trouble in jail.
