The Minden Whippet wrestling team hosted the Minden quadrangular on Thursday at C.L. Jones Gymnasium.
Minden hosted Adams Central, Kearney Catholic and Central City.
Central City won the quad with a team total of 164 points followed by Adams Central 135, Kearney Catholic with 71.5 and Minden with 55.
The Whippets came away with two champions from the meet. Jack Raffety won the 170 pound title while Sam Fiest won the 182 pound crown. Austin Olson was a silver medalist at 106 and Quin Rutt was a bronze medalist while Jed Birnie placed fourth.
The following are the results for the Minden wrestlers:
106: Olson lost to Damon Rodriquez of Kearney Catholic by pin in 36 seconds.
152: Rutt lost a 9-4 decision to Jack Barry of AC and then a 20-3 decision to Jake Anderson of CC to place third in the round robin competition.
160: Birnie started with a 10-4 decision loss to Cole Rostvet of AC and then a pin loss to Jake Brown of CC. Birnie then lost a 17-1 decision to Thomas Connely of KC to place fourth.
170: Raffety pinned Conner Munger of AC in 1:49 before winning a 10-2 decision over Riley Malasek of CC to take first place.
