Minden Rolls Past Ogallala In Home Opener, 84-30
The high scoring Minden Whippets girls basketball team played its first game on Saturday for its home fans in C.L. Jones Gymnasium.
The Whippets didn’t disappoint. Minden scorched the nets for 84 points on its way to an easy Southwest Conference victory over the Ogallala Indians, 84-30. Minden improves its record to 2-0.
“Again this was a good opening game at CLJ,” stated Minden head coach Rick Chramosta. “Our girls played better defense and we were able to get up and down the floor well. We forced several turnovers and turned those into easy baskets and we played unselfishly throughout the contest.”
Minden had four players in double figures led by Hallie Bauer with a team-high 18 points followed by Jamie Kissinger with 17, Bailie Muller 13 and Brooke Kissinger 12.
