Minden School Board Holds August Meeting

The Minden Board of Education met on August 13 for its monthly meeting in the C.L. Jones Middle School Media Center.
The board had a short agenda and breezed through the meeting in a little over a half an hour.
The board started with an action to consider capacity limits for Policy 5006 as it pertains to Option Enrollment. The recommendation is to cap the districts special education because the district is already over the state average. The board approved the action.
The board then approved Dr. Melissa Wheelock or her designee to dispose of all obsolete furniture, books, materials and equipment in the most favorable manner to the district in accordance with all laws, rules and regulations. The board unanimously approved the designation.
