Minden Softball Team Drops Two At Holdrege Triangular

The Minden Whippets softball team wrapped up its regular season last week by playing in two triangulars.
The Whippets began the week in Holdrege on Sept. 27 taking on Holdrege and Southern Valley.
Minden was defeated by Southern Valley in its first contest by a score of 14-5. The Eagles had eight hits in the opening inning off Whippet starter Karlie Nielsen. Southern Valley ended the top of the first holding an 11-0 lead. Minden was unable to get a runner around the bases and the Eagles led 11-0 going into the second.
