Minden Swim Team Wins the Plains Tsunami Swim League
The Minden Swim Team competed in their final meet of the season at the PTSL Championship meet in Lexington on July 17. Fifty-eight members of the team participated in one or more events to help bring home the team’s second championship title! What a fantastic year the team had! Seven swimmers brought home the high points medals from the championship meet this year. Gold medal winners include: Paige Lempka, 8 & under girls, Emma Ryan, 9-10 girls, Charlie Fobie, 9-10 boys, Jonathan Johnson, 11-12 boys and Devin Jensen, 15-18 boys. Bronze medal winners including: Collin Jensen, 3rd place, 13-14 boys, and Jeffrey Horner, 4th place, 30 & over men’s. Every swimmer did their best and earned points for the team. The coaches and parents are very proud of their efforts in this meet and throughout the year.

Brinn Space- 50 freestyle, 13th, 25 back, 11th. Laney Thatcher- 50 freestyle, 6th, 25 back, 14th, 25 freestyle, 11th.
9 & 10 girls and boys:
Sophia Braun- 25 back, 15th. Charlie Fobie- 100 free, 1st, new record, 25 fly, 1st, new record, 25 breaststroke, 1st, new record, 50 individual medley, 1st. Hailey Holliday- 50 free, 13th, 25 back. Kenan Horner- 50 free, 8th, 25 breaststroke, 7th. Janessa Madsen- 25 fly, 8th, 25 breaststroke, 10th. Emma Ryan- 100 free, 1st, new record, 50 free, 1st, 25 breaststroke, 1st, 25 free, 1st. Dylan Silvrants- 25 back, 11th. Colton Taylor- 50 free, 11th, 25 free, 12th. Gabe Walmsley- 50 free, 4th, 25 back, 15th, 25 free, 7th.
