Minden West Estates Holds Grand Opening

A ribbon cutting was held on Friday, Sept. 2 for Minden West Estates LLC Senior Housing Development. The event was hosted by the FHLBank of Topeka. Several Nebraska Dignitaries were present along with many local citizens to celebrate the grand opening.
Mayor Jones welcomed the group by stating that the Minden West Estates housing development was a much needed addition to the City of Minden and that it fulfilled one of his goals during his role as Mayor. Speakers representing the collaborating partners of the project spoke in appreciation of the completed development.
Partners collaborating together were NIFA, Horizon Bank of Waverly, Minden Exchange Bank, NEDED Home Funds, FHLBank of Topeka, and Excel Development Corporation.
The housing project, being part of a federal process, required that a housing organization benefit from the finances. Excel Development Group chose to benefit the Minden Housing Authority to receive $10,000 from the project. Elaine Wiseman, Minden Housing Authority, was present to accept the check from Excel Development.
