MPS Board Approves Boyd Jones As CM@Risk

The Minden Public School Board of Education ventured out on a cold and icy night Wednesday, to hold its April meeting in the C.L. Jones Middle School media center.

The board’s first action of the night followed one of two executive sessions which was to consider the 2013-14 support staff, professional and administrators salaries. After coming out of the executive session the board approved an average total package increase of 4.87 percent for non-teaching staff.

The board also went into executive session to discuss approving a Construction Manager At Risk contract. The board wasn’t into the session long before coming out to vote unanimously to approve Boyd Jones Construction for the proposed new high school and other facility bereavements at C.L. Jones Middle School and East Elementary.
