MPS School Board Recall Efforts Come To An End

Minden Public Schools board president Rusty Rhynalds and vice president Justin Glanzer will retain their seats on the board as efforts to have them recalled have come to an end.

Minden resident Candice Lantis filed petition requests to recall both veteran school board members on May 19. Reasons noted on the petition documents were a conflict of interest by Rhynalds because of his auction and realty business, Glanzer’s previous employment issues making it unethical for him to run or gain office, and an infringement on medical rights by both for proposing and implementing a mask mandate.

In their answering statements, both Rhynalds and Glanzer claimed the recall petition contained inaccurate information.
