Minden Public Schools is cautiously optimistic as they work to develop a plan to open school for the 2020-21 school year. Classes are scheduled to begin on Thursday, August 13.
“I feel like in Minden we’re in a good place and our kids and community are ready to be back in school. We want to keep everybody safe, we want to keep everybody healthy, and we want to have as productive of a school year as we’ve had in the past regardless of this pandemic,” Superintendent Jim Widdifield said.
Following guidelines determined by Two Rivers Public Health Department and local health officials, protocols for reopening were drafted by the district. The plan follows health measures set by the state while striving for a normal school schedule for students and staff.
