NACT/Fest Will Be In Minden March 23
The Minden Opera House is proud to host the 2013 NACT/Fest. This Festival is a competition of one-act plays produced and performed by community theatre groups from all across the state. Competing this year are groups from Manley, Beatrice, Lincoln, York, and Sidney.
There are five competing theatres: Session 1, 10:30 am: The Lofte, Manley, performing Almost, Maine by John Cariani. Directed by Cory Misek.
Session 2, 2:00 pm: Community Players, Beatrice, performing Walter Cronkite is Dead by Joe Calarco. Directed by Jamie Ulmer.
Lincoln Community Playhouse, Lincoln performing Doubt by John Patrick Shanley. Directed by Morrie Enders.
Session 3, 7:00 pm: Yorkshire Playhouse, York, performing A Year With Frog and Toad by Willie Reale and Robert Reale. Directed by Rodger Shields.
Way Out West Community Theater, Sidney, performing Desire, Desire, Desire by Christopher Durang. Directed by Dr. Angelyn Nienhuser.
The winner of the Festival is then eligible to compete at the Regional level. Saturday’s performances are open to the public and will run from 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. with a lunch break. An all-day pass is only $10. For a full schedule, contact the MOH office.
