Naomi J. White, 82, of Minden, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Bethany Home in Minden. Memorial services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Minden with the Rev. Christopher Hazzard officiating. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date at the Minden Cemetery. There will be no visitation as the family has honored Naomi’s wish to be cremated. Memorials in Naomi’s honor are kindly suggested to the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Minden. Craig Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Naomi Joyce White was born on July 12, 1937 in Lowell, NE to Albert F. and Mary E. (Parks) Holl. She grew up in the Shelton area and graduated from Shelton High School. After graduation she moved south of Minden. She was united in marriage to Fred K. White on August 24, 1963 in Minden and to this union two sons, Robert and Kenneth, were born.
The family made their home in Minden where Naomi was employed by Minden Public Schools and helped on the family acreage. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church. Naomi’s hobbies included crossword puzzles, cross stitch work, attending local sporting events, reading, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Robert White of Minden; brother, John Arnold of Shelton; sisters, Sharon Kile and husband Steven of Minden, Sara Ione Schneider and husband Roger of Minden, and Elizabeth Benedict of Littleton, CO; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Fred in 2007, one son, Kenneth during infancy; sister, Marion Johnson, and one brother, Allen Holl.
