Nine Local Youth to Punt, Pass and Kick at State

The Minden Optimist Club hosted their annual Punt, Pass & Kick competition on Thursday, August 25. Winners from each age category qualified to compete at the Nebraska District Optimists Tri-Star Football Finals Punt, Pass & Kick event on Sunday, October 2 at Nebraska Wesleyan’s Abel Stadium. Registration/Warm up will begin at 11:15 a.m. with competition to start at noon. Qualifying candidates must provide a photocopy of the winner’s birth certificate and fill out a liability release. 

Winners of the Minden Optimist Club Punt, Pass & Kick event were: Lucas Carey, 7 year old boys; Hudson Pohl, 8 year old boys; Brayden Dornhoff, 9 year old boys; Cameron McCarthy, 10 year old boys; Blake Boudreau, 11 year old boys; Byron Kring, 12 year old boys; Braylee Kring, 8 year old girls; Eponie Kring, 9 year old girls; and Aubree Kring, 10 year old girls.
