Olson, Rutt And Fiest All Earn Bronze Medals At Cozad Invitational Saturday

The Minden Whippet wrestling team was on the road for its opening invitational of the year on Saturday, competing in the Cozad Invitational.
Minden was entering the meet with new head coach Phil Hoyt back for his second stint as Whippet coach, competing in a mostly Class B meet. Minden has moved down to Class C this season for wrestling.
The Whippets came away with five medalists from the meet. Leading the way were three bronze medalists and two sixth place medalists. Bronze medalists Austin Olson at 106 pounds followed by Quin Rutt at 170 and Sam Fiest at 182. Six place finishers were Jed Birnie at 160 and Phoenix Duffey at 220 pounds.
