Orange Out is Dec. 17

Minden is having an “Orange Out” on Monday, December 17 when the Whippet host Boone Central. Orange is the color for leukemia. Two special boys have been in the fight of a lifetime against leukemia. Alex Johnson (age 7) of Minden and Cooper Dewitt (age 3) of Boone Central have been fighting leukemia since February and endured eight months of weekly chemotherapy. We are encouraging everyone to consider buying the orange shirts that we are selling for $12 or to just wear orange to the game. Order forms for the t-shirts can be picked up at either bank, Mason’s, IGA, or the Minden Courier. The forms are due back to any school office by noon on December 10. We are also having a sloppy joe feed in the C.L. Jones cafeteria on December 17 during the games from 5-8pm. All of the proceeds from the t-shirt sales and the sloppy joe feed will go to CureSearch. CureSearch funds and supports childhood cancer research. We appreciate all of the support.
