Patricia “Pat” Lee Pedersen

Pat, 89, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter Becky in Overland Park, Kansas, after a long illness from COPD. She requested to be cremated and her ashes buried next to her husband at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings, Nebraska. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Pat was born in Minden June 18, 1931, the youngest child of Arvid and Minnie (Exstrum) Anderson of rural Minden. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Minden High School in 1949. She went to cosmetology school in Lincoln and owned the beauty shop at Samaritan Village in Hastings for many years.
Pat married Merle Pedersen in 1951 and they raised three children in Hastings before moving to Bentonville, Arkansas to start a business. They retired to the Kansas City area and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2001. Following Merle’s death in 2002, she moved to Santa Fe Towers in Overland Park, Kansas where she enjoyed numerous activities with her friends. Her sense of humor and hearty laugh will be truly missed.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband and parents; siblings Gwen (Rueben) Abrahamson, Maxine (Verlin) Stadler, Jeannette Anderson, and Burdette (Wanda) Anderson; niece Jackie (Jack) Craig and their son Gregory of Minden.
Her memory will be cherished by her children Ron Pedersen of Lakeside, Arizona; Debra and son-in-law David Bonneau of Kansas City, Missouri and their daughters Danielle and Alyssa; Becky and son-in-law Conrad Conoley of Overland Park, Kansas and their children Jessica and Jeremy, his wife Holly, and their daughters Kaitlin and Mackenzie of Olathe, Kansas.
Aunt Pat will be remembered by nephew Clark and wife LaVon Abrahamson of rural Axtell and their children Jennifer and husband Rick Barouche and family; Jon and wife Kathy Abrahamson and family; and niece Cheryl (Abrahamson) Coyle and family of Dumas, Texas.
