Patriots Rally To Defeat Whippets

The Minden Whippets boys basketball team gave a great effort on January 3 to begin the second half of its 2016-17 season.
Adams Central came calling to C.L. Jones Gymnasium and were given a stern test by a feisty Whippet boys team. The Dawgs were hoping to break a four game losing skid and pushed the Patriots deep into the fourth period in a low scoring contest before falling to Adams Central 39-35.
Minden was led by Elijah Lovin with a team high 15 points followed by a balanced attack with two players scoring six points for the Dawgs including Jake Kuehn and Justin Villars.
