Raiders Compete In Jack Waller Tourney
The Kearney County Raiders went 2-1 in the Jack Waller baseball tournament in Holdrege on June 1-2.
The Raiders opened the tourney with a 12-6 loss to Holdrege Rotary. Jonathan Miller took the loss, striking out two, walking six and allowing three hits. He also scored two runs. Jake Kuehn had the lone base hit, a single.
In game two, the Raiders downed Holdrege Optimists 10-2. Adam DeLaet picked up the win in a complete game effort. His line was 2 K’s, 3 BB’s and 4 hits. Thomas Miller’s 3 for 3, 3 RBI performance at the plate led the offense. Jonathan Miller and Keller Koch each had two hits. Alexis Ciprian, Josiah Lovin, Collin Choquette, DeLaet, Kuehn, Justin Villars and Garrett Berkeypile recorded one hit apiece.
